My work, always straddling two worlds, resides on the periphery of established artforms, with a ubiquitous presence of negative space or a blank plane. After 30 years of making, I finally realize, the work’s identity reflects my own. As consequence of immigrating when young, I perpetually float between two cultures, always residing in between, never fully of one or the other.
